Acquired all of these guys in the past month.

BTW, my camera does the orange G10 on the Manix 2 NO justice. This thing is very bright orange, very vibrant.

Yep -- been there, done that. I'm to the point now, however, that I have refined my tastes, and I know exactly what I want. So, as a result, I have been doing a lot of selling and trading of the knives I know I will never carry or use. And this forum is agreat place to do that too.

Enjoy! And we'll see ya' on the forum. . . .

That Kershaw composite blade looks really nice. Which model is that?

I believe it's the Rake. Great lookin' knife!

That's a really nice lookin' knife. I confused it with the Junkyard Dog at first, but the Rake is more handsome.

Also, OP, what are the models of the 2nd and 3rd knife?

I think Tim Galyean said that it was designed with the JYD and Lahar in mind, sort of a hybrid.

Don't forget to acquire the corresponding pile of sharpening implements. And if you need to practice, pick up some inexpensive (but excellent) Moras:

and have at it. Freehanding doesn't get any easier than with that sweet scandi grind.

You might look into the Triflex models, to get some proper steel to complement your spread of stainless. :D

I have become a knife-slut/knife hoarder of the first order. There... I said it! I am so much better now - maybe I can make it across town to open that knife store this AM...

Ah, but it's fun!

Spyderco Tenacious

Been looking at the rake for a while, what do you think of it?

Also, I have spent way to much. I even promised myself no more knives till February, needless to say I got a couple yesterday

Is that all! Well try and do better next month ok? Lol! Great to have ya aboard! Great looking knives!

Blade Forum definitely has that effect. Try the gun forums. If you aren't collecting knives, why would you buy so many similar knives? But then, I am most fond of the Trapper pattern slippie and have far more of them than I will need during the rest of my life.

I really like the rake a lot. Solid knife, very very sharp. But mine does have a small problem with small rust spots. I need to start oiling the blade to help reduce the rusting.

Yes I collect knives, and I bought those because I like the styling. I also have a few guns (Ak74, Mosin Nagant, Springfield XD40SC, Remington 22 rifle). Plus I'm only 21 years old and still in college, but I'd say I've got a good start so far.

Another one bites the dust!

Sorry buddy you're a lost cause. Welcome to knife addiction.
