And when she hands you her little lace undies and says, Put these on." and you answer, "I can't get in those." and she says, "You're right, you can't!" then we'll see whom teaches whom. :p :D ;)

Thats why I bought such a nice couch.

does your couch fit in the doghouse?

:D :p

Our dogs get treated no better and no worse than I do, so it all evens out.

You have to understand that right now the house is torn apart and the kitchen and upstairs bath are being "mostly" redone, although not complete renovations. guess who calls almost all of the shots about what it looks like? The wife is who, so I think I'll skate on this one.

Yep, when a man actually stops to think he changes his mind the right way real soon. That's the start of "Real Wisdom" Shann.:D

I made out like a bandit! Two large custom sewn knife cases from Hafner's in Florida for 16 of my 6"-9" military knives and Bowies, a beautiful Case saddlehorn in bonestag, which is about the prettiest little pocket knife I have ever seen, and a stunning 7 1/2" 1861 pattern Bowie from AG Russell in desert ironwood! (To match my 8 1/2" in the same pattern in black micarta.)

My wife doesn't understand them, but doesn't quibble about my wish list at Christmas time! (-:

Anyone else? How did Santa treat you guys?

Regards,

Norm

Shann sounds like you made some pretty good choices:)... and maybe a couple of questionable ones regarding your wife;)

Norm, you -did- make out like a bandit! Lucky dog! However, i got the best present my gal has ever gotten me this year. She got me a SAK explorer plus with my name engaved on the main blade and a niffty little black sheath with a sharpening steel on the side. Not a fancy gift and not the most expensive thing she got me (probably 40 bucks for the whole rig), but she picked out the model herself based on the kind of things she knew i could tinker on with it. It was a stocking stuffer, but it was the best gift i got:) It won't leave my hip:)

Nope the wife was the best choice! I'd rather pick out the knives myself, thats half the fun and she doesn't get too upset about the stupid stuff I do. I leave other women alone (thats easy when you look like I do now :( ) and I don't spend money crazily (all my knives together only cost a few hundred bucks).

Nice! Sounds like she went to a lot of trouble to make it just right, which is worth it all right there. The engraving is a nice touch, and a ready sharpener is always a plus. Cool setup!
