Single-AAA light with tail switch and a sub-0.1 lumen firefly mode?

I have two single-AAA flashlights I use often: a Thrunite Ti3 and a Hugsby XP-1. I absolutely love the 0.04 lumen firefly mode of the Thrunite, but it infuriates me as an EDC because it has no tail switch, so I can't easily twist it on and quickly aim it with my left hand. The Hugsby is great as a single-mode light, but I have to bring the Thrunite along as well whenever I need the firefly mode.

All of the tailswitch single-AAA lights I've seen people recommend as "best-ofs" have firefly modes that are significantly brighter than I'd like. I specified sub-0.1 lumen in the title as an acceptable maximum, but I'd really prefer that it be as close as possible to the Ti3's 0.04 lumen firefly mode.

What I'd love is a tailswitch version of the Thrunite Ti3. I'll make my own if I have to, but I'd prefer an off-the-shelf model so it can be easily replaced if need be.

Good luck with the hunt. I was going to say a Fenix LD02 but that's even too bright for you I think.

Malkoff MDC HA 1AA modes are 0.3 lumens/9 lumens/115 lumens.

although the low low seems brighter to me than than

I love my LD02, both for the size and the tail switch. I do find the "low" of 8 lumens to be far too bright, though. In practice, it's not a lot dimmer than the 27 lumen medium setting. I would like something more like my LD01 low, which is nice for reading with, and for night adjusted eyes.

The high setting of 100 lumens is pretty amazing on this little light, I must say. I don't use the high much, but it really lights up my backyard when I do!

Yeah the low on the LD02 is pretty darn bright for a single AA light. Love everything else about it, I'd only get rid of it if they made a version with a brighter anodizing.

Not sure but I know my 4seven preon2 which is 2 AAA has what your looking for so the 1 AAA may also have these options.

Maratac has some cool lights too. I just scored a 2xAA for myself and a friend, it's an amazing light. Doesn't go as low as what the OP needs, but it works terrific as a work light. I have a few smaller keychain lights, the best one is the Maratac AAA, it's tiny as can be and tough as nails. Stay away from Duracell batteries, I just had one leak in one of my single AA loghts, and am in the midst of contacting Duracell for some sort of resolution, if any. New pack of batteries bought in April sometime this year, the light sat unused in my desk for 3 months, when I needed it, the damn thing was dead and it was wrecked on the inside.
