Nice! I like the look of that Rough Rider, how's the f&f on it?Rough Rider RR1267 "Half Hawk"/Loom Fixer, from the synthetic yellow series
Portugise MAM friction folder.

Both have seen extended EDC duty.
I think Rough Rider has a Half Hawk/Loom Fixer in producton, but with different covers.
The MAM is available in large and small (I have the large) with or without a liner lock. Mine doesn't have the blade lock.
I've been seeing LionSteels pop up more often lately, they're interesting. Kinda look like a more modern take on a traditional folder, would love to check one out and see how it feels in the hand.LionSteel, including the Dom. I have a Shuffler, which is the single clip variant, and like it a lot.
Man, GEC's blades really are gorgeous, if only they were easier to get hold of!
Fit and finish are excellent.Nice! I like the look of that Rough Rider, how's the f&f on it?
I may need to add one of those to my "to-buy" list, looks like a nice one and sounds like it'd make a great daily carryFit and finish are excellent.
Both blades have a "5" pull. no blade rub or wigglie wobblies. No noticablle without searcing for them with a bright light gaps between springs and/or liners.
Both blades do have half stops. The springs are "don't have a half stop proud". This is my only RR with half stops that has this (IMHO cosmetic, since it does not affect the function of the knife) "issue". Both springs are flush open and closed.
I think5K Qs has one or two from a different series. Hopefully he will chime in.

For I think $10 ~ $12 or so, I have no complaints. It does make a nice medium to heavy duty EDC.I may need to add one of those to my "to-buy" list, looks like a nice one and sounds like it'd make a great daily carry
Sounds perfect for a user! And I can not imagine batoning one of thoseFor I think $10 ~ $12 or so, I have no complaints. It does make a nice medium to heavy duty EDC.
Last week I used mine to make short work of some pine branches to 1.5 inch diameter that needed to come down.
(whittled the branches off. No batoning or chopping required.)
Priced dearly is right! I love the scouts and would happily add one to my collection if I could! Right after I find my grail the 86 Forum knife hahaGEC has offered them (back in 2013, 15, & 17, that I have or used to have examples of), but they are priced dearly nowadays. OH

Those are some gorgeous examples! What are the scales on the scout? The 93 is a very good Sheepfoot, almost chopperish...But since you have one anyway.
The RR I think comes as a single blade version too, but it's unlikely to disappoint.
Old Hunter Bruce gives excellent advice and some nice examples too. Here are a couple of my 15 Sheepfoot in addition to the Forum Knife 17. SCOUT and CROWN LIFTER
