I have been toying with the idea and am really thinking about it. I am not sure how you could get in the little recurve but if it could be done...WOW. :D A itty bitty 5160 sectionally tempered single bevel khukri.

Has anyone ever taken the handle off of one of these? How much of a partial tang do they have?

Any information is welcome, Thanks:)

I mounted one of my 1/4" Gesswein Arkansas stones in a padded vise and got a fairly good edge on my KK. No angle guide, so it was mostly "feel and eyeball", and is probably not much more single bevel than if I had hand-held the stone. This blade is about 58 for its' full length, but now it will shave punctuation marks from newsprint stock, without going all the way through.

I suppose that if one gets right down to it that a full convex edge would also be considered a single beveled edge(?)
Or perhaps it would/,should be, more aptly be called a single arc
edge?
:p  :D
