Single Blade Versions of Traditionally Multi Blade Patterns

After seeing Ken Erickson's version of a single bladed sowbelly and a Bose Saddlehorn (pics below, though not mine!!), I have become fascinated with the idea of stripping the "extra" blades off of a traditionally multi-bladed pattern.

Anyone else have similar knives? Production or custom would love to see them!

The Remington 1123 and 1173 patterns had two full-sized blades.

I don't need or even want both, so GEC's single blade version is the knife for me.

The Buck 302 is a single blade version of the Buck 301. Mine is a prototype, as you can tell by the blade, which is stamped "301".

The CASE Slimline Trapper gets my vote. It can be had with two blades or naturally in the full Trapper form but I much prefer this. Simple, durable and doesn't weigh much either. Fact is I'm more and more drawn to singles because they feel much better in the hand than multis. One way of having your cake & eating it is of course single-spring two blade patterns, but that's another thread:D

As Frank points out, the Buck Solitaire has a lot going for it and it has pleased me greatly. My version is in Cherrywood finish and was sold as a second (perhaps that's why it doesn't have the chairman's signature on it?) but I really can't find fault with it and it cost me not much, I use it a lot.

Thanks, Will

Thanks to a careless former owner I have a single-blade version of a Brookes & Crookes Whittler

Case 6175 Jack. It could be viewed as a "Half-Moose" or a "Third of a Large Stockman". OH
