As the title says, I'm looking for a single-blade wharncliffe with a blade length greater than 3", preferably around 3 1/2". I got a GEC Houndstooth several months ago but I haven't carried it because I feel it's too small. I'm also looking at the #47 Viper. Without going into customs, are there other options out there?

I have both. I don't carry the Viper much because it is a little bit big for my watch pocket.

I believe that several wharncliff 72s were produced. I've seen them come up from time to time in the Exchange. I couldn't tell you how many were made though.

AG Russell sells a single blade Wharncliffe sowbelly pattern. The blade length is 3 3/8". Knife is 4 1/4" closed. I owned one but it was too big for me to EDC everyday. Very good quality.

Can't offer a bigger Wharncliffe but the Schatt&Morgan English Jack at the bottom sports a monster 3.5" Sheepfoot blade. No offence, but really massive blades and Traditionals don't always go together, the patterns tend to be more compact for more reasonable pocket carry. Traditionals are usually of heavier old fashioned materials too. Thanks, Will.

Found a #72 Wharncliffe in Ebony, might get that. The Schatt & Morgan definitely has the size, although I'm not too keen on the handle material. I will definitely try to keep an eye out on that #92 Wharnie version.
While looking at the AG Russell Sowbelly Wharncliffe, I also saw something about a Curved Regular Jack and I think I like that shape a whole lot more.

Thanks a lot for the help!
