the single blade sheepsfoot thread got me wondering what's out there as a single blade wharncliffe?

Case now has their mini trapper with a single wharncliffe blade, but I've only found it in what they call "second cut antique bone" which isn't that attractive to me. I've been holding out, hoping they will offer it in another handle material. It looks like a nice pattern though, 3 1/2 inches closed. It's just like their mini Wharncliffe trapper but without the second clip blade.

Here's my little GEC #25, a Northfield UN-X-LD in smooth white bone.

This one practically disappears in your pocket at just 3" OAL.

I like those #25s from GEC. A tad short at 3" but very stout. The Wharncliffe blades are very handy.

There are occasionally some Wharncliffe single blade Case Copperlocks available. I don't know if any are in production currently. I've really taken to the Wharncliffe blade for a user, the straight edge is easier to maintain and the point is just as useful, maybe more so, as a standard clip point blade. I like 'em, but don't have one yet. I do have a Copperhead with a Wharncliffe main blade, but the blade shape is a little different than the one on the Copperlocks.

Of course there are lots of Wharncliffe customs that get shown on here.

That's pretty sweet. I gotta get one of those. I need a single blade swayback too. And a Copperlock...

Oh well, it's only money.
