Single Serve H2O Purification Tabs?

Does anyone manufacture and market single serve water (individual doses packaged like aspirin or tylenol) purification tabs?

Hell yeah, those would take up a lot less space than the bottled variety, and expiration wouldn't be an issue either. The thing that I am not sure about is I seem to remember reading that the tablets are corrosive to plastic and metal, so that may be the reason for using glass bottles. I could be wrong...
 
Sure they are corrosive! I had to wrap AND seal my Polar Pure bottle as it corroded the spare batteries in my kit badly. Maybe it is only my bottle that does not seal well.

I have some that came in a B.C.B. "Combat Survival Kit". I went to www.equipped.org and they have a listing for B.C.B. International, a British company. They list a product called Aquaclear. It appears to come in 2 tablet packages a total of 50. I didn't get too far into it. Will check into it again tomorrow. It didn't seem prohibitively expensive, but I didn't check into shipping. The tablets in my kit say they were manufactured in 6 of 97 and will expire in 6 of 02.

I contacted the US distributor for BCB Int'l today. They do not sell the foil (?) packed purification tabs because of EPA approval. He said they were chlorine based and that they only brought in large quantities for military contracts etc. He said I might contact BCB and ask if they would sell me some. They have a box of 50 packs of 2 taablets for 3.80 British Pounds which is around $5.50 i think. I am going to contact them and see. The next step is to find out why the EPA won't let them sell them in the US. Like I said I got ten of the tablets in a British Survival Kit. I will keep you informed.

Yes you can get foil pk. tabs in the U.S. I did.

They are called Chlor-Floc,water purification Tablets. They have a EPA. #
I think I have seen them in Us.cav. or Brigade. anyway that was all the info on the bx. They have them at my local Surplus store
in Berserkeley ca. if you can't find them post again. Frediver<><

Did you receive the Firesteel yet?
You're the last one to receive it as everybody has received them.
If it got lost in the mail I will still try making you happy because you can't live on purified water alone you'll also need some "sparks" to get yourself warm
