Does anyone know where to buy single serving packets of condiments in bulk? Salt and pepper are easy enough to collect from fast food stores, but I am looking for peanut butter, honey, quality hot sauce, and a few other things. I am planning a 30 day hike next year, and want to experiment with portioning and recipies.

I don't know if you have a Gordons Foods by you. I bought smaller boxes of individual condiments from them a few years ago when I spent 16 days in Joyce Kilmer Wilderness.

Looks like you got your answers . I betcha Kraft foods would have them . You might have to buy more bulk than you want . Know any restaurant owners in your area ? I betcha if you talked real nice (just get the blarney going ) they would order you some .

The freshest would be direct from the supplier .

Hey Guys....

Last year while bear hunting we cleaned out a couple of bowls of jam packets..:)

Waitress looked at us funny,,but didn't say a word.. LOL

My mom was the worst for that...
She'd clear out the little trays of Everything...

We never bought sugar or sweetener for coffee for years....

My dad would take stacks of those little cups for ketchup at Burger King to mix epoxy up in the shop....

Just a family of two bit theives.. :)

Thank you all for the suggestions, I will try those places. I have done some long distance hiking in the past, mostly on the Appalachian trail. I found that resupply is fairly easy, but sometimes the only condiments I could find were in huge jars or containers I would have to cut down and put in plastic bags. Lots of waste. It was also discovered that I would sometimes get carried away and eat to much unportioned food at once. I am disciplined enough not to touch the next days rations, but not disciplined enough to not eat all the good stuff of that days rations early. I am going to try to see if having the packets helps.

I can just see the headlines now .

Man Lost in Three Day Blizzard .

The story followed that the man (The mysterious Mr. Bumppo) found his way home by following his backtrail of discarded condiment packages .
He was heard to say over the rumblings in his cavernous belly that he wished French,s deli-mustard wasn,t so spicy .............. One or two was great , thirty seven made a man kinda thirsty .: L:O:L
