Sinking dollar - rising yen

I'm not a financial guru and I didn't stay in a Holiday Inn last night. But if the Yen keeps climbing against the greenback, Seki Spydies may climb to uncomfortable price levels.

All I know is that I got docked less for tax by buying Spydies from the states right now. I'm happy.

No more importing CDs from Japan for awhile.

Given this trend, the price of the Persian is doubly amazing.

Not only the Persian, think about the fact that a limited release of the Calypso jr. has a street price of $40.

Tell me about it! I travel to Japan almost once per month, it's pretty expensive, but I've seen worse and better. I've been there when it was 84 yen per dollar (can you say $300 per night crummy hotel?) and also 158 yen per dollar (drinks for everyone!)

I don't know about Spyderco's fiscal policies, but even small businesses can usually manage with some hedging against currency fluctuations via their finance dpeartments. Or work it into the delivery contracts by setting prices for longer terms. So hopefully this weak dollar will not punish us too much on the Seki blades.
