Just became the proud owner of a Sinn 103 Ti UTC. Not wanting to go through a U.S. distributor (if you've seen their mark-up you'd know why)I made a contact in Germany that made all the necessary arrangements for me. A little wrangling with customs and a laughable delay brought on by Fish & Wildlife, "sir, we can't release your watch until we know what kind of sharkskin the band is made from" is all it took for me to get my new toy. If anyone is interested or would like some help getting a Sinn of their own drop me a line at DanEHunter@aol.com and I can help them out.

I would love to get the Sinn EZM-1, but I think I would have to sell to many Knives! They are fantastic watches.

Congrats they are great watches, I had a Bell&Ross Space 3....but gave it to my brother for one reason or another.

I have a friend in Germany procuring me a Sinn EZM-2 for Euro 550.00 (about US$ 494.00). I don't really care (because I love the watch), but does anyone know if that is a good deal?

From what I understand, the Sinn EZM-1 (chronometer version) and EZM-2 (diving, non-chronometer, version) are the official issue of the German GSG-9 (Special Forces) units; which must be a positive endorsement of some kind.

Here's a pic of the EZM-2 I'm getting:

There is something very weird about that picture.... The pic on the left has the crown on the wrong side -- and the writing on the dial and bezel isn't reversed, so it isn't just a flipped pic ... okay, maybe the crown really is on the wrong side on that model, except ... the pic of the back side of the watch has the crown on the side where it belongs, and the writing isn't reversed in that pic either.

There are only two explanations I can think of -- either the watch is made in two models, one of them with the crown on the wrong side, and that is a picture of the dial side of one model and the back side of the other ... or I'm nuts. Considering the threads I've read in TGB&U tonight, that would not be surprising ... still, it's a weird way to find out you've gone nuts....

Um ... what are you supposed to do when you realize you've gone nuts? Turn yourself in to the nearest mental hospital? Or go have some fun?

Could also be that the case back is upside down compared to the face. When the picture was taken, the watch was reversed 180 degrees so that it didn't appear upside down. (Much like quarters)

Nice watch

LOL! I think that is equivalent to saying I was nuts -- no, not crazy, just dumb. That's what comes of posting at 1:00 in the morning Remulak Central Gamma Ray Saving Time.

So it has the crown on the wrong side and the writing on the back is upside-down relative to the front -- okay, that's not so weird. :)

crown is on that side on purpose........other pic has watch turned around..........that price looks EXCELLENT to me..........I see them for around $600 all the time (a little less but not much)
