So I was at my girlfriend's house and her mom was talking about taking out this 10 foot spiny palm tree in the back yard... The only problem... No Axe or saw. I casually walked to my car and pulled out my 15" Sirupate. I started by limbing off the serrated stalks on the tree... They came off effortlessly with well placed, angled cuts.
Next it was time for the trunk. These particular trunks are very tough so I had to make some downward vertical cuts to chop through all the criss crossed bark. I eved used the knife to pry the bark off. Piece of cake.. It took me about 15 minutes to make short work of the palm tree.
I think tomorrow I will come back and dig out the roots with my trusty siru. I am so satisfied with this knife, I believe this is tree number 8 that I have chopped down with Julie [the knife's name].
P.S. I really want an 18" gelbu special!
