Damn! I don't know what I would do with it, but I want it! Not seriously to purchase, but wistfully.

Another late nite deal, Yangdu, you having trouble sleeping?
Very nice.

At least it gives a different crowd a chance at a 'Deal of the Day'. Too many sharks around during the day :D

The nicest thing about the big ones? The size of the karda & chakma...actually usable!

Don't worry, you'll like it.... they were real popular at one time.

I have three 25"-ers, and they are works of art as well as swords.

I guess this thing does fall more into sword territory, huh?

How "quick" do those 25"ers you have feel in the hand, Mike? Just curious.

Like a Corvette, only heavier.

Dick

I have a 25" Sirupati and it feels rather light...compared to my 30" Sirupati and AK. This 30 incher is two oz over three pounds, a pound and a half or so lighter than they used to be. Swing it around some (in an open space of course) for the first few days to get used to the weight and balance. Broken, what's the heaviest khuk you currently have at the moment, if I may ask?.

Bob

The heaviest I have is actually not an HI, so I won't go into any detail, but it hovers around that 36oz range. It's a shorter, AK type blade though, so I am not sure how that weight is going to feel over the length of the Siru.

It's also my first Siru, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Is this true? I know the 25" AK's were big and heavy, but didn't know the 25" Sirupate's also were heavy.
I have a light 25" AK that I like.

As for what to do with a 30" Sirupate, I see rattlesnake heads a- flying.

I was referring to the 30" Sirupatis. The one I have (used to be Rusty's) weighs around 4lbs 10oz IIRC, about the standard weight for the older 30 inchers. As for the 30" AKs, they're more for Sequoias than snakes. ;)

Bob

I mispoke Bob- I put 'AK' in my last post when I meant Sirupate. So it is true that the 30" Sirupate today is really heavier than the actual Sirupate's of the past?
