I bought one of these about a month ago on eBay for around $50.00. I have been carrying it everyday since then. I also carry my SAK Explorer as well, but that's another story.

Today I was at a Chinese restaurant and the wife went up to get some deserts while I held the baby. When she came back she had only brought one of each kind of pastry for us to share.

I pulled out the Buck, snapped open the blade and went to work on the desserts. I put the blade to the first and using the weight of the blade sliced right through the elcair. No sawing required. I was seriously impressed.

I have been very happy with this knife and hope to enjoy it for years to come.

Eclair in a Chinese restaurant???? :D

but yah.. we use our knives for everything

298GY Sirus ATS-34 Bos treated knife is a gem. I used mine for every day for over 6 months.

The ONLY problem I have with it right now is that the blade action is "gummy". That, I am certain, is a direct relation to the kitchen duty it sees. Stuff is prob lodged in the workings.

Don't take it apart.

But, I think some WWFD WD40 or 50 will get it cleaned up...when I get around to it.

BTW, it's pronounced "ecrair" there.

"Eclair" always makes me think of this song...

You can get that in ANY restaurant.
