Welcome to Bladeforums!

You got a good knife there. The sheath is really flexible in how you can carry it, too.

1) Feed the strap through its metal rectangle and velcro it closed. Run your belt through the loop and let it hang loosely.

2) Feed the velcro side of the belt loop back up through the metal rectangle on the sheath and wear the sheath higher and tighter on your belt.

3) Now for the neat part. Take the belt loop off and feed it through the short piece of leather bolted to the front of the sheath, velcro side out. Now wrap it around the back and close the velcro. Now you can wear it horizontally on your belt, even at the small of your back.

Notice the block of rubber at the top of the sheath? Grip the handle and push on that block with your thumb to pop the blade out. Put the blade back in the sheath and grip the block on the lower side with your thumb and pull and the blade will pop back into locked position.

Handle with respect. Mr. Peltonen knows how to put a sharp edge on a knife. (Ouch! ... only once ...)

oooo! that was a great tip, thank you a lot! this knife can be operated one-handed, nice suprise!

i am in love with this knife, yeehaaaw

That's good high carbon steel, too, so you don't have to baby it. I wondered about the price for a while, but now that I've had it a while, I think it's easily worth it. Have fun! :D

Is the system right for left side carry?

I do look at this knife too. It is simple and effective, good steel. Only to know if a leftie can carry it aswell as a rigthy.

If you carry it vertically on your left, the handle will be reversed, the knife will be edge forward. If you carry it horizontally, you can rig it edge up or down, right- or left-handed.

as much as i understood you can carry it handle up or down, handle left or right.
i suppose it makes the knife all around friendly

Don´t forget to mention that the blade is differentially hardened!
The current models are available with a kydex sheath also!

I have seen the new plastic sheats sold separately for about 15 EUR. So if you already have the knife and are interested in the new sheath, you're retailer might be able to get one for you.

Those lashing holes in the new sheath look awfully close to the edge of the sheath (picture from a Finnish retailer). The material is apparently pretty thick, but still... I think I'd go for the old leather one, but that's for climate reasons also.

I used to wear mine on my pants suspenders with the handle facing down and just slip on a shirt or jacket and you hardly know its there.

It's a very nice knife so you got yourself a goody!
Don't worry about breaking it...it's A VERY TOUGH BLADE!
