The problem with California, according to Levine, is they tend to stack the deck in their favor. They well take a BalisongKnife case to court, if they think the person is stupid enough they can win it. But if it looks like there is any chance they will lose the case, then they drop charges. That way, the court precedent is in favor of anti balisong because any court decision that could go pro balisong get's droped by the state, before the precedent could be established.
In general, across the board and across the boarders, balisong knives cases in court runs about 50 - 50 they can go either way. That is why we need to take this up before the Federal court like James Taylor did when he was importing the Japan knives. Because the court found in Taylor's favor on that. It's just that Customs ignored the court ruling and went right on confiscating them.
So rather then to continue to mess with Customs, they started to import the parts and assemble them here in this country. Which means the nicer collectable knives just don't get imported anymore. Just the cheap, garbage ones, that they can sell lots of. Us collects get screwed because of customs. That is why I want to take this back into the Federal Court System, but everyone here just want to complain about it and no one seems to want to actually do anything about it. Thanks, JohnR7
