If anyone has been wondering what has happened to me the last 4 or 5 days I've been out due to a change in dosage of a fairly new medicine that has kept me extremely sleepy since the change and I also felt I wasn't in any shape to be posting. I've been taking this medicine at night at double the dose, 100 mgs. vs 50 mgs, I'm now taking 3 times a day.
I've been a bit better the last couple of days and now I feel I'm in halfway decent shape to come back and see what's going on.

I also had a CT Scan on my neck last Wednesday that's for my neurosurgeon this Thursday. He wants to do another surgery on my neck in order to give my spinal cord enough room so as too not be pinched anymore..... I know I'm in need of it but I feel I have a more pressing need in getting all my teeth pulled and getting my first set of dentures, both upper and lower, along with the new implants that help hold 'em in place. ;) And my I.D. Physician agrees seeing as how any trouble with a person's teeth has the potential to cause infections anywhere in a person's body. :(

Another thing I had done a few weeks ago was my S.I. and Hip Joint's injected with Cortisone once again. My pain management physician asked if I wanted my neck injected as well, I had said something to one of the nurses in the room, and I said, "Hell Yeah!!!!" at which point he told me too come back the next week....
Which I did and along with the change in the dosage of the medicine I told about up above I've been feeling wonderful, except for the sleepiness and spaced out weirdo feelings of course. :p ;)
The day before yesterday when I woke up I noticed something odd feeling - I layed there for a bit and then realized what it was.... I Wasn't Hurting!  I really hated to move but nature was calling and I had to, but even then it wasn't nearly as bad as it has been lately! Actually it's been a really nice few days all in all! Trouble is I don't how long this, good pain free, to, pretty much pain free, feeling is gonna last but I'll take all of it I can get!

I'll take sleepy over agony any day!
Tell that pain management guy to keep up the good work.

Good news... I'll keep my fingers crossed it'll last for a long time! Stay away from tornadoes!!!

Good to hear you are in good spirits and pain free, Edutsi !

It sounds to me like you have things under control and are finally doing well. For this we are all thankful and grateful. Get your teeth pulled, you will be amazed at how much better you will feel once you get that all over and done with. Dealing with bad teeth can really wreak havok on a person. Once i had mine done my overall health improved immensely. Now if i could only find a good dentist to make me a decent set of choppers.

One day at a time, my friend......

I am glad to hear the good news. I admire your toughness and look forward to your posts too!

Glad to hear you are feeling at least a little better, Yvsa. Smoke up and on going as always:thumbup:

Hope you get to feeling better. Traveling back to IN as I type this so I can sympathize with the back pain. I can't wait to be prone for a while myself. My Dad is a nice guy for doing the driving but the road is killing me!

Pain free ... what a dream that would be for me. :(

Thoughts and prayers from the seaside for your continued recovery and overall health improvement.

Thanks guys and I wish the best for all of you in chronic pain that you can somehow find a doc that can get you to the state I'm in right now.
It's starting to pain a bit right now but I've been up a long time which will almost always start setting it off. It's a wonder I'm not in a horrible state right now the way the weather is. The weather is unsettled again tonight with severe storms in our forecast and I'm so grateful too have my pain not going over a 3 on a 1 to 10 scale!!!!  :D
