Duane, Mick,
Guys, just returned from the SOTG Dynamic Entry course. While I have used my Strider's to cut FLSC, Detasheet, "E" target backing and the like before, i passed around my DB, GB and D9 to cut the Goodyear 330B media, and the knives cut that cleaner and with less effort and aggravation then with the issue boxcutters.
I would guess this should come as no suprise- the knives are designed to work as multi purpose tools, and they do.
One of the EOD guys had the USAF Lan-Cay EOD knife, which is apparently similar to the M9 bayonet. It is a (very) weak sister when compared to the D9.
The platoon now standing up took great notice, as has every other platoon coming through.
I appreciated you guys taking the time to chew the fat earlier this month at the "factory". Keep up the good work- we appreciate it!
