I have been a long time reader of this forum.I absolutly love it.I have never really needed to POST, but that has changed.Due to the fumble-ruusky.I dropped a Lightfoot Micro-Tech on its point.Minus ONE-EIGHTH inch of its original length,it is in need of repair. I bought the knife to get a feel for weight, size, materials, length, etc.I love the IDEA of a CUSTOM knife.I check them out incessantly,KNIFEART,ROBERTSON,endless beauty.I have refrained from springing the BIG bucks so far.I need to make it to a BIG SHOW, See it,hold it,drop it,ha ha...Maybe ATlanta,Vegas,Wisconsin for sure.Would any of you masters like to take on the task of repairing this knife for me? Re-profiling the blade, somewhat, getting rid of the grayfinish, polish it. And maybe throw on wooden scales. How much would I be looking at,in the way of cost, etc.I do not have a clue, does it matter? Thanks, IKIRU

I would suggest contacting MT as well to see what they would charge you for a new blade. It just seems a shame to spend money customizing a knife with a re-profiled blade. The cost of a new blade may not be much more than re-profiling yours. Then you could look into new handles or whatever.

Hi Digby,

Erikfsn has hit the nail on the head. Contact MT and find out about replacing the blade. It will be best long term to have them work on the knives.

I was glad to read you visit my site often. Do yourself a favor, get the MT back and then sell it. Then put the money towards a custom knife.
