The knife is very slightly inspired by American civil war bowie knives. It was customers wish to use some historical materials
Blade - san mai - core 1.2550 -( 60WCrV7 - S1 ) steel + sides damascus steel made from 1.2550 steel and 18th century charcoal steel. I have it from restoration workshop of my friend and they are big rivets from reconstructed 18th century statues.
Guard and pommel - same damascus steel as sides of san mai.
The deep etch is made deliberately
Handle- It is an oak from 11 century. It was found in the square of Republic in the Olomouc city during archaeological research. It was a part of horse stable. The datacion is correct because the tests was made by dendrological laboratory during the archaeological research. It was found in the same manure layer as golden denar of Ota I. Sličný. I have it directly from archaeological team leader.
Average length - 34,5 cm (13,5 inch aprox), blade - 19 cm (7,5 inch aprox).
Blade width 42-49 mm (up to 2 inch), blade thickness 7 mm (0,28 inch).
