Hi, Bawanna, and thanks for the advice. I just did that, and all worked out well. Great service from Yangdu! It looks from the pic that could be an easy fix with epoxy, so I'll give it a try.

Would it be safe to assume that the AK is gone by now?

"15 inch 17 ounce Ang Khola by Tirtha. Great backpack Knife. Several hairline crack in satisal wood handle. Project Knife at $60."

Also would this be a good 1st Kukri for a 1st time Kukri owner? Or is this way too much for a rookie..

Don't assume. Send Yangdu an email and find out. Here is a thread where I repaired a handle. It is not hard at all.

If the 15" AK by Tirtha isn't spoken for I'd love to purchase it. E-mail sent and crossing my fingers! I hope I'm not too late. :D

Got my villager Sirupate in the mail two days ago, so it took less than a week to Canada! That's fast! It is a great khukri. So far I only did some limited chopping, and the performance is awesome, good balance and the blade shows absolutely no signs of wear. Many Thanks to Yangdu for such a great product and super fast shipping.

I received the R-10 and it is a fantastic knife. The steel really takes an edge.
