Oh dear ! Lets start with things I didn'y like !

1. Soft lock
2. Flipper Tab
3. Blade shape
4. Poor lock up

1) Soft lock , got the knife seized by Customs . Yes , they branded the knife a Automatic cos of the soft lock .
2) Flipper Tab , so painful . Yes , the FT brings the pain when trying to be bushcrafty .
3) Oh man , that blade shape just Burns ! The transition from the recurve belly to the front of the blade is ............. awful when cutting wood .
4) The liner lock was barely engaging the blade

Performance .........
I had to slice with the front of the blade .. The recurve was not going to work on a flat surface . What I got was a 100 slice roll / fail .

Bushcrafty ..........
Not very bushcrafty . The flipper tab hurts like hell when you shift the knife to something other than a traditional grip .
No spine to speak of to scrape wood or ferro .
I did put the spine to the grinder wheel , I did do that . Cos I want my knife to at least scrape wood and ferro .

Mods .......
The very first thing I did was fix the soft lock ..
The second thing I did was grind away the flipper tab .. I really hated it ! Hurt like crazy ..

Resharpened ...
Crazy blade shape is not for the wet stone grinder ! So using one of my guided knife sharpeners , I put down a fresh edge to 1500 grit @ 18 degrees approximately .
The factory bevel was very close to 18 degrees .
The recurve makes stropping .................. lets call it challenging !
There will be another go at the rope as a 100 slice fail is ............. a little on the nose !

Guided knife sharpener edge @ 18 degrees = 150 slice roll .
Does the blade have a coating ? Anyways , 65HRC file skates .

I cant sharpen the recurve on the grinder ... But I did hit the front part of the blade before the recurve with the wet stone grinder ..
And did the blade bur horrendously or what !
So hit the rope again soon I hope .

Ok , 60 grit grind hits the rope ..
Yes there was an increase , but still not impressive .
A 250 slice fail . For D2 , that's rather poor .
I think the steel has a coating of something as the 65HRC file skates .
There might be some buyers remorse setting in as I type this .

I might dislike it , how it feels , how it cuts , how it was ass-embled .
Still , got to give it a fair go . Then I can hate it with a clear conscience !

Ok ................. Where were we ... a 250 Fail .
I decided to put the 220 grit wheel back on the wet stone grinder ( original factory wheel )
And see how things go as the 60 grit wheel caused so much burring .
The short of it is a 300 slice fail with a very easy strop back .
