Purchased VIA FeeBay auction ..
Sixleaf SL-18 D2 .
HRC = the 65HRC file was just barely able to bite the blade .
So it's a relatively hard blade .
Hard blades are difficult in the sense of creating a false edge or bur ..
Factory Edge did some 100 slices for a FAIL
My guided edge @ 20 degrees failed at some 250 slices ( bit more than 100 ) and stropped back strong . ( That false edge / bur )
THe lock works fine , and locks up tight .... Till you get heavy handed ! Then you can entice a few thou of movement out of the blade .
Over all the knife looks to be well made , is bolted together nicely and there are no hotspots to complain about .
The spine is bushcrafty ... Butt !!!! I did massage the spine to make it more so , cos that's the way I like it .
So it did throw ferro , it did scrape wood ( spine ) , but I made it better .
In the video , the first ferro rod is badly corrugated and when I reached for the other rod .... First strike light . ( Aint that the way )
The blade is hard , so am looking forward to seeing what the wet stone grinder can do .
