I was brousing some and ran across something that made me curious.

What are the model numbers in the Empress Trio set?? I know the small one is the 107. Just don't know the other two.

Then I got to thinking (yes hurts) just how long is that big one. So drug them out and laid them out with some of the other big ones. I put them all away before I thought about including the 650, but will list its size.

inches........................ OAL........ Blade
largest in the trio......14 1/8........ 9
124..............................12.............. 6 3/4
120..............................11 3/4.........7 1/4
650..............................11 1/2........ 6 1/4 (not pictured)
119..............................10 1/4........ 5 3/4
middle trio................. 10 1/4....... 5 3/4
121.............................. 9 1/2......... 5 1/2
small 107 trio..............7 1/2......... 3 5/8 (just to have all the trio included)

Minus the 650,,the pics are in this order. I knew that large trio was large, but just never thought about it in comparison to some of the others. The trio is the black micarta and full tang.

Just thought I would share this bit of curiousity...sorry about having to use the klinks..are the only large fixed blades I have in the 100 series.

cool

i've never compared them like that
didnt realize the largest was that much bigger than the 120

I was surprised also...

Still looking through doc for any model numbers on those.

Yeah Dave,, is always something interesting when doing some weird thing like this. Like that middle trio being same deminsions as the 119, and the 650 being really close to the 124.

Numbers are interesting. Just like a deployed 110 being as long as a Vanguard. Lots of stuff to compare when just sitting here piddling around.
