Anyone have any experience with this piece? I'm interested in the walnut handle model. I wonder if the knife might be a tad big for pocket carry...almost 5" closed. If I get one I'll remove the clip and attach a lanyard to my belt, keeping it upright in the front pocket. Just curious about the size issue...if I don't get this one I'm thinking on maybe a Benchmade 690, or even Kershaw's splinter. These are both nearer the 4" zone I like for pocket carry. The T2 looks like a real quality piece, which has me tempted.
Thoughts...?

I think the T2 Ranger is just fine for pocket carry wearing regular pants. If I was wearing sweats etc., it might be a bit heavy, but as an EDC in my dress pants pocket, it fits fine. Just got it today, and that's the first thing I did...stick it in my pocket to try it out.

The Tactical Ranger is a bit big, but I don't intend that to be my EDC.

I have the nylon handle version and it fits in a hip pocket just fine. The walnut handle slaps would probably make the knife noticeably thicker. Personally, I like the thin, grippy nylon slabs alot.

I have the zytel (nylon) gripped T2 Harsey. Its perfect for EDC, but I only carying it while hunting, fishing or hiking as we have a 3.5 inch blade limit in CO and the T2 is 4 inches. Fits in the pocket of my jeans fine and its a light knife for its size. It has replaced my BM 710 for the most part. Yeah, its that good.

I'd say too much slim. In knife so big you expect massive handle. I like blade profile but prefere thin G10 to nylon (as in tactical LW)
