size of magnum handles?

I am a bit concern about the size of the magnum handles. I have never handled one before but have ordered it for the Hell Razor. Is it that much bigger? I wear medium size gloves, so it is a bit of a concern to me.

I went back and forth over the conflict myself. I ordered a HR but with standard slabs. I'm a big guy but usually wear med gloves too. I guess we'll seee when they arrive. i've thought about calling to change my order?!

Being that the Hell Razor is 3/16” thick I definitely think magnum slabs is the way to go.

i really wanted a "handle passaround" a while ago, but i guess not enough people were interested.

That sounds like a cool idea. Did you email Jerry about it or just bring it up here? He wouldn't even have to use INFI, he could use scrap steel of three sizes 5/16". 1/4" & 3/16" and two handle styles SF and Fusion in standard thickness and magnum thickness How many variations is that? What would be the down side? I think this might be real good for the new guys or folks who can't make it to a show to feel the real deal for themselves.

I also have medium to small hands, and had the same doubts about getting my FSH with the magnum scales. Obviously, it could just be the shape of my hands, or personal preference, but I am very happy with my FSH with the magnum handle-and it has a 1/4" blade.

While I'm sure the design is different on the HR, it's still a Busse, so I would guess that you will find that the combination of design and texturing will offer you a variety of very secure grips (of course, that's an assumption). I have not had the chance to compare mine with a standard, but I would be very surprised if I liked the standard better.

Plus, like they told me- look at the exchange- if you're not happy with it, any number of people will probably be more than happy to buy it from you for at least what you paid for it- no risk.

My $.02

Just buy one of each and sell the one you like least!

All right... you guys have convinced me. I'm going to call tomorrow and switch mine to Mag slabs.

The passaround sounds like a great idea. Like Randucci, I've resorted to buying stuff just to see what it feels like, then selling it if it doesn't work. It's usually plus or minus $10, so it's not an expensive hobby in the long run, but I do end up having a lot of explaining to do for the wifey!

I’m sure you’ll like the magnum slabs. The contouring is great, and they feel good even in my smaller than medium hands.
