Photos Size Wise Folders :Borderline extremes and in between ?

Some of my borderline fully functional (for my needs and uses ) extremes in size and a couple nicely midway between . :)

I tend to carry at the large extreme but that's not always appropriate . So I have some more moderate and I'm just getting into the "mini" size , in case of need and just for fun .

What are your personal folder limits as to size for carry . Even if it's just occasionally ? o_O
 
The Spyderco military is the largest folder I have. Next is the emerson roadhouse. My folding knife size limit is pretty much there, 3.75-4 inch blade. No smaller than 3.25 locking folder.
 
5" blade is the upper end on a folder for me. reason isnt the blade size it's the ridiculous and awkward handle size part of it. same applies to most small bladed folders. I find 4" to 4.5" blade about perfect. can live with 3.75" and even 3.5". below that i dont find so useful for what i use a knife for. sure small folders can cut but the small handles I find not so useful.
 
My largest folder is the Benchmade Grizzly Ridge, it comes in at 3.5 inches. I prefer keeping my folders under 4 inches.

Biggest folder I ever really carried was my Super Roadouse. 5 inches.

Smallest is probably my SAK classic

The Persistence is retired, so Gemini to DOC is my range. Having said that, I specifically decided against both a Real Steel Megalodon and a Liong Mah Eraser because of their size. My most common carries right now are the Gemini, 0562, and Domino. I have an Ursa Minor coming today, which will undoubtedly slide right into heavy carry and use.

So... my real range is 3”-3.5”, I suppose.
 
The Boker Urban Trapper (~3.5") and the Endura are probably the largest folders I own. I use the Urban Trapper as it is so thin in the pocket, but the Endura see's little use.

Added: I probably have a few more from years ago when I was still defining my preferences in folders but at the moment they don't come to mind. The Buck 110 and it's clones may well be the largest folders I own. Haven't used one of these in years.
