SJTAC & Spec Ops sheath?

Joining the busse club once again. Have a SJTAC inbound :) I had four over the last 10 years and sold them for reason or another.


Can anyone tell me which size they would get to fit the SJTAC. They have a long and a short. I'm not sure. The short says it fits up to 6 inches. Is that 6 inches of blade plus the choil?
Anyone use Spec Ops?

The Spec Ops info says the short one is for the 5.5" blade max. while the SJTAC is 6". I need to be sure before I buy one. I live overseas.
 
Please forgive the crummy cellphone pics. Here are my CG SJTAC, and one of my shorter Spec Ops sheaths:

The thing that might get in the way is the screw in the bottom that holds the kydex liner in. That's all it does. It holds that liner in. I know people who have removed that screw and glued the liner in, and were able to fit even longer knives in there. But if you'll notice, I haven't removed that screw. It wasn't necessary to remove it with this particular knife. But it's something to keep in mind.

The kydex liner in the sheath may be a little loose for the CG version of this knife. If so, you can take the liner out (remove the screw and pull it out). Heat it up, bend it over a little more, and squeeze it together a little more. Then put it back in. I used a hair dryer to heat it up. It took a few minutes to build enough heat for it to actually become slightly pliable.
