Hello Forum!

I'd like to introduce our company, Silver Knights Blades, to you all! We specialize in unique configurations of knives we believe people will love. Thanks for being here and reading this post.

This post specifically brings you a rare Buck Knife; the Buck Knives 110 with BG-42 Steel, Nickel/Silver Bolsters and Charcoal Dymondwood inlay. We brainstormed with the Buck Special Projects department to bring a classy and modern feel to a classic staple of the Buck family. The black tones of the Dymondwood in combination with the Nickel/Silver Bolsters adds a great contrast. The Drop Point Blade modernizes the more classic feel of the Clip Point original 110. We added the nail notch as a last minute addition to break the look of the blade up and assist with opening. The blade is made from the last of the BG-42 steel at the Buck Factory. Combine this with a "Made in the USA" Black Distressed Leather Sheath and you have the perfect sidekick.

Let us know what you think, and please give suggestions for future projects. We would love to bring you what YOU want.

A few of you have already started threads about this knife. Here and here. Thank you for the positive threads!

Hi SK,

Welcome to the Buck Forum! I'm looking forward to getting one of your 110's for Christmas. What can you tell us about the black pigsticker on your site?

I love mine. Sharp looking knife. Really sharp blade, wow. I personally like the nail nick on this knife. Thanks for making this. Keep 'em coming.

Hey JB,

Thanks! The 651 was the first brainchild. It revolved around the idea of a black blade. I own an original 651, but it is so beat up from use I needed something I could keep mint! The first iteration actually had a black and white handle instead of the tan. Buck Knives worked up a sample of the black and white, and we realized it would get dirty way too fast, as would a black and white sheath. So, we switched to the tan and voila, a mean looking 651. The sheath was also something we wanted to beef up in terms of versatility. That's why it's covered in MOLLE straps. One of my favorite knives is the Buck Hoodlum, and it comes will all the extra straps and pouches. So we wanted to make the 651 sheath similar. Basically it was a very selfish knife on our part. We wanted bring something that got us excited. :D Thanks for the reply!

Welcome aboard SK.

I'm one of (could be the only) critic of the nail nick. I would have already bought one if not for that little detail. The knife is gorgeous otherwise. I think my ideal 110 is going to have that BG-42 drop point blade, nickel silver and finger groves.

The nail nick took an otherwise classic and clean blade and put a blemish on it.

Don't get me wrong. Two thumbs up for the initiative! I wish more small knife companies would step up with special designs.

I may just warm up to the this knife before you run out.

Let me know when you do a 110 + S30V + Drop Point + Finger Groove + Nickel Silver + G10!!

What are my thoughts on the 110 with BG-42? Got one and love it! Also got your Pigsticker and love it too!

As far as future projects go I'd love to see a 112 with an ATS-34, drop point, no nick blade, nickel bolsters and black or burgundy micarta.

I've always been partial to BG42, so I really appreciate the 110 offering. Mine came to me very quickly as well.

I received this knife in todays mail. It's outstanding in all respects, including the distressed leather sheath.

I bought six Bucks this week and you were the only seller who left feedback for my purchase.

Thank you for both the knife and your response to my purchase.

Hey, thanks for the purchase! We really appreciate it. Enjoy!

Bought one and I love it for the most part. the only complaint I have, like others have noticed, is the ends of the charcoal DW near the bolsters look like the color was sanded off.

A Chuck Buck tribute 110 date coded 2015 (the year of his passing to see our Savior) needs to be done by someone. Maybe a 2015 "Chairman" as the base model with the Icthus symbol medallion and a mirror polished S30V or 420HC drop point (without nail nick) with gold etched portrait of Chuck, his birth and passing dates and a nice quote on the blade?

A 'French style' long pull nail nick on a 110 would be unique. I always liked that look on the old 300s.

I love the Chuck Buck knife idea, I hope someone does it. I would feel very strange profiting off of a knife like that. It would be awesome if Buck Knives created a knife like that and gave it for free or very low to it's most loyal fans over the years. Would be a great tribute to an amazing man.

skblades...cool 110, got the email that mine is on the way. Bucks BG-42 is my favorite hunting steel...as is the drop point....and I like the nail nick.
