that aside.....this one looks good. I'm a big fan of m390/20cv/cts204p. it holds a darn good edge and sharpens up fairly quickly on touchups on ceramics. diamonds even better of course.

pretty darn exciting buck has entered the new super steels. nothing wrong the tried and true steels buck already uses, but neat to have lots of choices....m.

Just noticed that a few minutes ago myself. A very handsome knife. I am partial to clip point, but agree it is quite exciting to see Buck knives coming out in higher quality steel. A good deal all around, and @skblades coming through with another winner

thanks for posting the pic of it. yep I grabbed/preordered one. like this steel and drop point and that burlap is just great. pics really dont do it justice like in your hand does.

I just saw the email and am having trouble resisting. If it were a clip point I would have definitely gone for it. It really looks fantastic and is a great price for those materials and being US made.

Same for me...clip point would have sold it. But the drop point crowd should be pleased.

The 110 does have a rear bolster. SK has a picture of the 501 mixed in with the 110 on the website...
