SK sharpening question

I have a green and a tan Skeleton Key. Usually I can sharpen all of my Busse knives to a hair popping edge with my sharpmaker using the 40 degree angle. I have spent hours with these 2 and cannot seem to get the edge I'm looking for. Any suggestions out there?

Just my thoughts, I would decrease the angle by half. I have some of my knives back to 15 degrees.

I'll try that. The Skeleton Key that I sold you sharpened very well. I hope you still enjoy it.

I certainly do still have it, wouldn’t part with it. Have a green one on order as well.
