SK5 Tigershark

Didn't this SOG tigershark in sk5 come with a lite gray coating on it? I have one that i bought years ago and I believe it to be the sk5 version. I'll post pictures when the sun comes up.

edit: Never mind, just realized it is stamped S5 on the box and the carbon stamp on the sleeve that came with it.

Hi

The SK5 had a satin finish, your knife is the powered model. It may well be made of SK5 steel as yours is the older model with the plain edge.

as best I know, the S5 on the box is the SOG Model Number or Part Number designator. It doesn't refer to the steel.

And what a fantastic knife to own, Congrats !!!!!
