Skate HOG?

Hi,

I recently came across as a knife that was stripped, but someone clearly tried to buff out some etched words that appear quite large (1cm tall) on the blade itself: "Skate HOG". (There's also something in between the e and H, so it kinda appears to be either "Skate.HOG" or "SkaterHOG".)

I don't suppose any of you worldly and vastly knowledgable folks know anything about this?

If it's a Fat ASH1 it probably one of the HOGASH's that were offered to inducted HOG's, they were allowed to have their HOG name etched on the blade.

Does it look like this (the bottom one)?

If so, it's a HOG ASH as cpirtle suggested.
Or perhaps more correctly a "Special HOG Edition ASH-1."

It originally had a muddy coating which I stripped off.

thanks John. actually, yes, similar to the bottom one, but this one was not stripped as well. so, not same knife, but yes...

You're right! So with your hint, I did some searching and it is indeed "SkaterHOG"!!! Knife was apparently from 2007:
