bob-o-link a pinin fo his little lady lub, sleep Kentucky babe, umm, um close your eyes & sleep.

I used to sing this lullabye to my children in the '50's . Q uestion; is it a southern thing ?
Is it complete or have the intervening years dulled my memory ?

I sing it to Patsy when we bundle [.industrial strength snoring] before she goes to her bed. It always promotes yawns & a soothing effect.

Uncle Alan would like to know.......

KENTUCKY BABE
(Music by Adam Geibel / Lyrics by Richard Henry Buck, 1896)
Perry Como

Skeeters am a hummin'

sleep Kentucky Babe!

Sandman am a comin'

Silvery moon am a shinin'
