I recently picked up a Hubertus Lever auto and I love it. The only problem is that the more I think about the bone handle, the more skeeved out I am. Now, I'm sure the bone is really antler, but the thought of a "bone handled knife", the texture, and where it came from just makes me a little ill. I'm not sure where this comes from as I have no problems with wearing leather.

Knock Knock, are there any Knife collecting psychiatrists out there?

Most of the older and even some of the new slipjoints had bone handles taken from the legbone of a cow. Many of the knives being sold today have giraffe bone handles. I have no problem with this at all, but if you do I would be glad to take that knife of your hands. Anything to help out a fellow knife knut. :D

This is kind of weird. A mutt that doesn't like bones.

If you want some real therapy, post this question on the Traditional Knives forum. Those guys will dissect you and figure out all your problems!
