just got one from the exchange. i would like to cord wrap the handle, any links or suggestions?

Hmmm, not sure if there are any tutorials. This is a pic of a wrap I did on mine. It was removed during a hike one day as I forgot to bring paracord with me. If you're interested I may rewrap it tonight and I can post pics on how it's done.

ok, so far, not looking too bad. im not crazy about the knots at the ends, but didn't know how else to secure them.

looks good jimmyjones, just finished mine. i managed to get the cord endings at the hilt with the top ends tucked in. still got the knot at the bottom, but my hands are all cramped up so im done.

strider knives has a tutorial on their website about how to wrap their knives
seems like a pretty decent procedure

yes i have seen that. id like to try that technique, but i think the sk might be too small for it.

thx:D

yagers looks like the strider technique. I'm not so sure about the D guard though. LOL. Like that desert SK by the way.

Looks good............real good..........Nice pic!!!!!! btw.....soak your hands in a solution of warm water mixed with white vinegar.....then wash them off and rub them with course salt (with a little water) and wash again....then Vasoline all over them and cover them with (while you are sleeping) with some socks....I know it sounds weird but it works.......When you awake the fingers feel great (wrists also)and your hands are very soft........Girly......................maybe but it helped me with the carpel tunnel.......just a little Amy-0 advice:) :) :)

how do you tuck the ends in without tying a knot? i tried but couldnt get the lower ends tight enough.:(

yeah, it's the method strider uses, it really gives more "width" to the handle for a great grip. the "d" guard on this one was an experiment to replicate the HAK's ability to let go and grip items without dropping the knife, it works really well.

It takes practice. I start at the end toward the blade with the end melted flat so that it won't pull through easily. When i get to the end I leave plenty extra and loosen the last few rounds down to the slot in the handle.. then tighten and pull the excess through till very tight... I then trim, melt and push the melted end down into the slot in the handle.

**Be sure to make a very sturdy cardboard sheath for the blade so you don't slip and force yourself to a trip to the ER**

Hope I helped :D
