I was wondering if anyone can tell me if this knife has been ground down,
Or were some released in this more pointy shape?

The sheath is made to the exact shape of the knife....

This one is my EDC knife:D I call it Spike;)

Any help from those who were around when these were released would rock!

I would think they are varied based upon the person grinding it. Busse have so many variations with different batches of the same knife that I'd think it originally came that way from the shop.

All of mine have been the same.

I made the sheath. :D

Is the spine black crinkle finish or a polished finish? If its the same as the rest of the knife, then its probably original.

Mine is solid crinckle too...
It looks like the customs were made with less belly?

I'm not sure how it compares to a 'non custom'. The custom is almost a scalpel shape with very little belly.

steelnut i would say yours has been ground down extra
there is hardly any choil left in front of the talon hole

Steelnut,

If you are comparing to the standard skeleton keys then I would say that yours has been grounded down. The standard SKs definately have more belly. It also looks like your SK has been sharpened quite a few times. I don't know if it is the angle of the picture but the clip on your SK appears to be longer than the other custom shop SK.

The SK is also my edc. I like that fact that it is so light that you hardly notice it until needed.

Thanks for the info all.
I bought it as "lightly used never sharpened".
Doesn't matter because I like the spike shape...

Still doesn't beat the knife I bought as new, but had black magic marker coloring the wear on the black coating...
When I washed it there was a big surprise.....;)
