I have done a bit of drooling over Busse knives for quite awhile but they have been for the most part out of my price range. Could someone please tell me what a UCSK is, specs/pics whatever.

Thanks

Sam

The UCSK is the Urban Camo Skeleton key.

It is a slender blade made by Busse.

Most often it is matched with a sheath set up to be a neck knife.

An excellent starter Busse, as is the Assault Shaker.

I know that there have been some Skeleton Keys on the for sale forums in the past few months.

You might want to do a search for "skeleton" there.

In the meantime, here is a pic. I will try and find some specs for you.

and yeah its the for sale forum that prompts the question.

Here are the specs as posted in tie original "Name the New Knife" contest when the Key debuted.

Here it is boys!!!!! We need a name for this hot little sliver of INFI. Standard rules apply. We want two word names only. You must limit each post to no more than 10 names. Again, that is no more than 10 names per post!!!! You can post as many times as you like just limit each individual post to no more than 10 names. There, I think that's fairly clear. The winner will win one of these knives. The knife is 7 inches OAL. . . The blade is 3 1/4 inches long and only 1/2 inch wide. It does not come with a sheath but we plan on having some available for optional purchase. The Black Coated version is 3/16th inch thick and only costs $67.00 The Satin Finished version is a slender 1/8th inch thick and costs $127.00

This contest will run on both of our forums.

Have at her gang. . . She's a thirsty little piece of INFI and she doesn't have a name. . . Yet!

Good Luck!

Jerry

Yep, either him or Seth Murdoc, whose home-wrapped items are on the sale forums also.

I can mess up a granny knot, and those guys turn out works of art. :(

just for the record im not actually in the wrapping bussiness. i wrapped jodi's because he asked, not expecting to get paid for it (wich i did (jodi offered)). "strider style" wraps are reletively easy to do, you put them in a vice and really get them tight, often finishing it in under 30 minutes time. to do a really good turks head however takes me anywhere from 4-10 hours, depending on how diffiuclt the cord wants to be, and if i have to start over again do to cord stripping etc. in order to do it the way i want it to be done (wich just makes my hands and forearms hurt thinking about it), im looking into the 10 hour range, because it would require twisting the cord out so it was completely flat about 4 times = wich equals 8 total revolutions, 5 spirals up and down, and roughly 60 brites each full rotaton. wich means something like 300+ times pulling cord under another peice in the weave and twisting it around (making sure the twist goes under the weave so it doesnt just sit there)...

that and fearing that the persons knives will get messed up, just isnt worth the money for me at the moment...

the ale thread i had for the skeleton key can be found here (it has some pics)
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=317135

if your looking for a reletively small knife for cutting tasks only, i cant think of another one id recomend more then the skeleton key.

*that was a little misleading , those numbers are for a large handle, the skeleton key only gets 4 spirals (3 on the one i thats was on the sale thread), so its considerably easier and less time consuming... still difficult, since you have less knife to grab onto though...*
