Very minor stuff. I had done the SK some time ago and finally got around to doing the SW. The wood is Pink Ivory that I had picked up at a knife show a few years ago. Here's the SW before;

The inserts are hand formed with a dremel and sandpaper. They are in to stay, no glue, but a very tight press fit. Not perfect but these two are users. Not hard users, just normal stuff. Like the SK is the best steak knife in the world and it sure draws comments!

I hope my wife don't see them. She will be after me to do the same with her skelly's.
Great job.

I like them both better after your mod:thumbup:
Good looken job!

Very cool. Pressed in you say? You must have spent some time getting the right shape and size for a tolerance fit. Very cool. :thumbup:

Yea, you'll notice on the SW that the inserts are not perfect on the edges but there is nowhere that light shows through. If you look closely at the back insert on the SW at the bottom back corner, you'll see where a piece of crinkle black broke of while the insert was being pressed in. Big vise, slow press.
I also rubbed them down to .025" thicker than the blade. On the SK, I put them in at original thickness and started to sand them down after. I stopped when the blade coating started to wear.
Overall, worth the effort.
