Skeleton Warden Wearing Leather

Does anyone have a Busse SW wearing leather? I would like to see photos if possible. I am in the market and wondered if the leather retention can be a problem. I plan to carry horizontal, vertical, and around neck. I think a Randall style with X on back, retention strap, and maybe two holes for a cord at the bottom.

Does this sound feasible? I say NO to Kydex on this one :)

I don't have one in stock but your request is very doable. I can make a leather sheath for your swamp rodent. Let me know if your interested.
 
Whomever (whom, who? whatever! ;)) you get to make your sheath, I recommend magnets for additional retention... the good magnets, rare earth magnets?

I have this sort of prototype sheath from Chuddy Bear for a HACK Bear Cub... I love it.

In addition to his usual nice leather retention like any of his leather sheaths, he put two small magnets in the pile side (you leathermakers got a term for that? ;)) of the sheath. This hangs off my keys handle down whether in the ignition or hanging out of my pocket (Plain sight rule in PA.), or the ring at the top allows me to remove the top part of the quick release attachment, throw a chain on it and also wear as a necker on the fly if I want as well, but that was secondary to me wanting it for the vehicle keyring. I've had it about 3-4 years now, I think and even after countless times in and out of the sheath, even though the leather retention has worn substantially (Draws great), I've never had this knife slip out accidentally, thanks to the nice magnetic retention backing up the leather.

Wouldn't put all this on a sheath that might also go around the neck, but... Another odd request I had was for a detachable belt clip with a belt loop. He hooked me up.

Basically, there's a bunch of leather sheath makers around here that can make some really cool sheaths and I'm pretty sure your idea can be done.
 
It works great, Garth. I doubt you'd be disappointed in the slightest with one. :thumbup:
I want one for the Pepper Shaker and a Skeleton Key too, with the priority for the PS to be a necker first and hopefully with a detachable pocket clip if it can be done while trying to keep the sheath light, and the Skelly Key also as a necker and another keychain knife...house keys need protectin' too, haha! ;):D
