This is my second attempt at hand shaping G10 scales. This time, as the title implies, it is with a black skeleton warden. This was a fun project. In all it took approx 2 months from conception to completion. I went about the process in much the same way that I did with my BATAC-LE (seen here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...lack-G10-scales-BUSSE-BATAC-LE-not-too-shabby). The dremel was used for rough cutting only and from there a double cut file, single cut file, 80 grit to 1500 grit sandpapers, then 0 steel wool to 0000 steel wool, then hand polished with felt and diamond paste. The scales were adhered with HYSOL E20. I've used this adhesive on a couple of knives already, one of them has been beaten hard, and it has proven to be an excellent adhesive with great chemical resistance and great shear strength. I opted not to use retaining tubes or pins, because this will not be a hard use knife. However I am contemplating drilling and using linen rods in the future. I will post updates if I do. The shape of the scales are a very comfortable and versatile grip in my hand in every position.
