Skeleton & Wraps

I have never had a knife like this one before. Can some of you guys that know how to cord wrap (or other wraps) post some info here about how to do it, where to get supplies or who I can send it to to have it done.

Thanks

And ALL OF YOU.... have the BEST Holiday season:thumbup:

First, take all the guts out of about 6' of paracord - color of your choice.

I'd do it this way: Run 5' of that 6' thru the rear hole. Run it up to the front hole nad thru that as well. Now wrap back. AT some point, you're gonna get back to hte rear hole. TRY and wrap it such that you can pass it the same way thru. Tie it off somehow and then perhaps make some cool looking lanyard.

The key is holding it very tight as you wrap. If it's not thick enuf, take even MORE cord, start wrapping immediately after passing thru the rear talon hole and then wrap back to it.

If you send it to me, I'll wrap it for ya. . . unless I somehow lose it. LOL

That sucker looks so cool, but as I hold my Game Warden, I keep thinking, "Boy that'd be uncomfortable to hold. Even wrapped it woudn't be thick enuf." Same reason I sold my Skeleton Key away a week after I purchased it. I really would like to get one, but I know it'll just sit there b/c I won't like the feel of it. That knife was meant to have Micarta on it. :(

Good luck. It should be easy with both talon holes to wrap. MAke sure you post pix afterwards.

Tony are there any surplus stores around you that sell paracord? If not I think Tad Gear has some glow in the dark or reflective paracord in stock.

I say that, before gimmejr posts again, he has to fill us in on his avatar. :D

I did this while eating lunch today. Left about 8 inch tail from the rear lanyard hole. Just wrapped around the upper and lower "bones" of the skeleton. I used some light rope, about 1/8 inch diameter. I don't have paracord. It makes the grip bigger and easier to grip and doesn't add much weight to the knife.
