One of the chaps, just spotted the following knife;

unknown.jpg

While not my taste, he's really interested in obtaining one, so I said I'd try and help him out.

I recall seeing these a year or more back in a catalog, but for the life of me I can't remember what they're called.

Can anyone help ?

Cheers

It's the Spyderco Q, C35. Discontinued quite a few years ago, but can still be found on EBay or the back room of some stores.;)

It's an amazing design, and i carried one for a while simply because it overcame even the sheeple w/ it's design. Nobody who saw it said, :eek: "eep *weapon*!!!", they were all impressed by it's design/weight etc.

The lock is a little wire lock, snaps into the groove in the back of the blade, kind've like a lockback made of 1-piece of bent wire. Up to gentlemans carry, ie. opening envelopes, but not *heavy duty* or MBC rated... :p

Ps. smaller than it looks too...

Hi Guys
Still learning my way around the spydie-world, I have a Q (those serrations cut like a laser), were there any others made in a similar style? I think I saw a reference to R, but not sure.
Thanks
Phil

fullplate,
There is an 'R' knife which is larger and all metal. The Q, while most people have seen the 'spyder' version, had many variations of blade styles. I have a document with many photos that I've been keeping track of them. I have also started a webpage for Q's. While still under construction you can see a sample of Q's.
