skeletonized blades

they are nice but impossible to clean...

how about an "engineered plastic" inlay to keep the weight down but still make cleaning easy?

Actually, I was kinda wondering why there haven't been more of the skeletonized blades made. I have the "Q" but I feel that the handle is way to thick to carry and I wonder if that lock would be strong enough to trust. I love the idea and I think the weight saveings outweighs the difficulty with cleaning. I'm looking forward to seeing the "R", but I can already tell from the descriptions and pictures that it will be just a little large for my taste. I'd like to see something more along the lines of a dragonfly or walker size that was skeletonized, but with a liner lock, at least G-10 or Carbon Fiber scales, screw construction, and a sturdy metal clip. How about a skeletonized ATS-55 calypso, with G-10, screws, clip and linerlock???? Drool, Drool, Dream, Dream!

Listen to me, like I'm a future knife designer or sonething????
