Skeletool question

I got a lightly used SS Skeletool a while back and just noticed the blades liner lock goes all the way over until it hits the pivot screw. The lockup is tight, so I'm just curious as to whether this is typical lockup for these? or should the liner engage the tang alot earlier, as on standard knives?

Thanks
Dave

Mine engages about 2/3 across the tang (closer to the pivot screw). It's still tight and there is a tag to prevent it from coming off the tang. Would I like it to be lower on the tang? Yes but the likelihood of Leathermen getting a liner lock bang on is low.

I've had 3 Skeletools. On my current one, the liner is two thirds over. The other 2 were over by the pivot screw.

Never had a problem with lockup.

Thanks for the responses, this is good news:thumbup:....no worries then. As I said lockup is solid, and pivot screw does prevent the liner from coming off the tang. Fantastic multi-tool BTW.

Thanks
Dave

I have two. They both go all the way to the screw. No problems with lockup. They are used by me and a whole lot of other pepole at work.
