I had the misfortune of going to Monkey Edge and finding an OD green skinner and the fact they helped me out due to my LEO status sealed the deal. Great customer service plug for them as well. Very quick responses. It wasnt a great time to buy a knife but it was to good to be true. So be it.... i will have to sale a couple of Busse knives. I really like this knife. I hope i can get rid of the fear of losing it at work or while hunting. I lost a kershaw one time on a bear hunt in Alaska and it still makes me mad. I couldn't imagine losing a Hinderer. Oh..... i remember now i lost a Protech at work my wife gave me for graduation. The fear is real then lol. Anyway here is my small collection with my 686. I need to make a date with the range. I havent shot it yet but i fondle it often around the house.

Congrats! (I hate Skinners) You may want to get hold of an "Orange" scale for the times you are out in the woods. Makes a "Drop" much easier to spot. Obviously a lanyard tie-off is a solution as well.....

Was kidding about Skinners, I Love the RHK Skinner (close if not "thee" Favorite)

Great looking Pair.

Rubicon the lanyard idea is a good one im gonna try that. Orange scale wouldnt work for the most part. While at work im usually running through the woods or crawling through animal trails and covering a couple of miles before i would realize i dropped a knife. While doing this i cant be worried about my knife, but again i like the lanyard idea.

The times I have been in situations where I did a tie-off, I used some black 550 cord and chose a conservative yet adequate length then simply tucked it into my pocket.
Worked out well.
