This skinner came to my humble collection from an awesome fellow forum member who graciously let it go at a great price - to say I'm thrilled would be the ultimate understatement! I won't bore you with further commentary friends, just wanted to share a pic or two.

Holy crap! A skinner? Wow. What a score! Congratulations. That is the grail of grails. That is only the second skinner i have ever seen, and I spend an absurd amount of time looking at hinderers on a daily basis. I am so jealous. Absolutely beautiful. Enjoy it!

AAAAAARGH!!! uh, I mean congrats! :D

That is my ultimate grail, uber-jealous!!

Working on planning a Yukon float hunt for next fall where one of those would be the icing on the cake!!

now the question is...is he going to use it or not? I personally would want to keep a knife like that cherry. maybe after years more of collecting, Ill be able to use these insane customs that just friggin BEG to be used. Im a sucker for satin...but I might start trying to score WF hand grounds, this way I can use it, no marks right? I would use my satin customs all day if RHK still redid satin finishes. its the knowing my knife could be brought back to mint that would make me fully comfortable with semi hard using a $$1-2k$$ plus satin custom, but sadly its no longer offered, and I fully understand why...but boy do they beg to be EDCd. Im sure ill start usin em one day. I just had to buy a production wharnie because I wanna use my satin HG wharnie so bad but cant! so now I got a wharnie inbound to ECD...suuuper pumped. sorry for the rant BWill! all in good conversation. hope everyones having a fantastic night! :)

****BY THE WAY**** ...does the mail come tomorrow? no, right? hmm. I wouldnt think so.

Assuming I have one by next Sep, fingers crossed, there will be many pics of it getting used on moose, caribou, and - hopefully - brown bear....

Yeah, it's pretty but if I can get my hands on one in the vicinity of dead critters you can bet money it'll get used!!

It will be impossible not to carry most likely my friend but also won't likely be prying anything soon. No mail tomorrow, Veterans Day is a USPS holiday.

first step is loosening the screws and changing to tip up carry, then the ball starts rolling....

I always go back and forth between the bowie and the skinner as my favorite grinds, but that thing is too incredible. I think that has to take the top spot as my all time favorite. I think we all need more pictures when you get it, and I know I'd love to see the geometry of the tip. A big congratulations from me!

From a philosophical perspective I suppose rarely should Life be viewed as complete by addition of a worldly item but.... then there IS a Hinderer Skinner :)
That level of completion has eluded me so, Congrats be to those who have actualized.
Nice piece. :)

Everytime I look at this thread I just hate BWilson more and more :D... even though I have the Bowie on the way but the Skinner is still on top of my list (it's like owning P7M7 :D). Congrats.
