Skinny ASH - To strip or not to strip

I have a skinny ash user with black blade and tan/blk G-10 slabs. I thought the black blade was cool at first, and I know the coating preserves the blade and all... I'm considering stripping it down to the bare infi. I've stripped and sanded a ratmandu to a decent polished (not mirror) finish, but I understand Infi has considerably more/deeper pock marks.

I know its all preference, but should I strip my Skinny? With a few different grit pads, can I get at least some of the marks out? I'm starting to find bare metal more favorable to coated blades. Opinions?

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about rust at all to be honest unless you're salt water diving with it and refuse to wipe off the blade. I've had no rust on bare infi.

use it till it gets ugly - then you've earned the right to strip it !!

just kidding, you don't need to earn the right - that just sounds silly but I was being all finger at the moon and all that BS !!

Strip it. Then give it a full convex edge.

I keep thinking about stripping my CGAsh1. But I think I am going to blend the convex edge more, and take away the shoulder transition more. I will use the coating to keep from putting sanding scratches higher on the knife. Then I will strip it.

I don't have a sander though, so a nice polished finish will be difficult. I used sanding pads for the RMD, but the dimples aren't as deep on that.
