Does anyone have one and what do you think? I hike in alot and it looked like the perfect knife to me,light enough and tough enough, let me know your opinion, thanks ,G.M

You can't go wrong with this blade. It makes for the perfect all around camp knife.
Light weight yet still packs a punch!!!Love mine, wouldn't give this one up!!!!

I have one, and I love it. Very tough, but thin enough to be a great slicer. Easy to carry, which means it get to go along with me all of the time. :) You will not regret getting one!

The skinny ash is a great knife! And available at the company store in some nice combinations. You can't go wrong with the skinny Ash, however I prefer my Sarsquatch for the activities that you described. The reason being that the Sarsquatch is a much better chopper,IMO, its added length and weight gave it the advantage... the handle design is more comfortable too.:foot: Although, I feel if delicate tip work and deep penetration is needed it would be skinny Ash to rescue. I know you asked for peoples opinions on the skinny Ash but the Squatches are in the same size and price range, GET BOTH!!!:D

Spine shots for comparison, Skinny Ash on the right.

I love my Skinny Ash. Sadly its the only Busse funds will let me own right now but in the future I would like pick up a gw, squatch, bm of some kind and an ak. I better work some more overtime!

The Skinny ASH is a great all-rounder! I love mine! Not too heavy but big enough for most everything!

i have a skinny ASH and i love it.....

i also have a mirror polished CG ASH and if i had to choose between the two, i would take the skinny 10 times out of 10....

the blade geometry of the skinny allows it to be a wicked little slicer and it can do all the tasks required in a survival situation....the thin profile and lightness of the blade might hinder its chopping and batoning abilities.....however, those tasks can be achieved with the skinny ash, albiet with a bit more effort.....

what it lacks in chopping and batoning, it makes up for in everything else.....

to me, it has the most comfortable handle of any busse that i own....

it carries very well on the hip because of its light weight, it cuts like a laser, carves with great control, and has a very sturdy point.....

also, the skinny ash has enough belly to serve as a skinning knife in a pinch...and if you were to ever run into any two legged hostiles, the skinny ash is a great fighting knife...

yes, get a skinny ash, you will not regret it...

I'll second everything New said above.. it does feel great in the hand and is very maneuverable. in fact, it is the Busse that now lays beside me at night. it will be a keeper... Get one while they last at the Busse shop... only $302 for mag handles ! a heck of a deal on a great knife..
